Work with engines, ignition system and electrical circuits;
Troubleshoot and repair engine components and systems;
Performing repairs to small engines, oil changes and other similar and related duties;
Ensure all tools/equipment are operated competently, safely and maintained in a good operating condition;
Represent the company in a professional, courteous and respectful manner in all dealings with the public;

Grade twelve (12) High School Diploma or equivalent.
Post secondary diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a similar diploma program with a minimum of three (3) years directly related experience or the completion of a related certificate program with five (5) years of related experience.
A safety designation would be considered a definite asset.
A valid First Aid Certificate and other certified safety training would be an asset.
Experience in conducting formal training would be considered an asset.

Must relocate to our Edmonton, AB operations. Candidate must have at least 1 yr. exp. as a heavy equipment operator and some shear experience in the scrap metal industry. Must be able to speak, read and write English. This position requires a candidate to be able to operate heavy equipment, calculate weight, distance, volume and length of measurements. This job is a physically demanding outdoor position in extreme weather conditions. The hourly rate is: $25.00 @ 40 hrs per week plus lots of overtime.
